Welcome to Scanlon Creek Hockey Academy:
SC Hockey Academy is a program developed for student-athletes from all over the world. Through our passion for hockey development and coaching, combined with a high level academic program, we have created an all-inclusive environment for the full-time hockey player. Making it to the highest level of hockey requires great dedication and discipline. The opportunity to combine academics and training on a daily basis with high level coaching gives our players the edge over the competition.
Matt Smith Owner/Director
After a successful junior career Matt received a scholarship to University of Massachusetts Amherst (D-I). In his first year at U-Mass he signed as a free agent with the St. Louis Blues (NHL). Matt enjoyed an 11 year professional career, playing with many great organizations, players and winning several championships. Along with the St. Louis Blues Matt signed NHL contracts with the Florida Panthers and the Pittsburgh Penguins. Matt has a passion for the game and intense personality. He demands the best from his players on and off the ice.
Evgeni (Jenya) Feldman Owner/Director
Born in Krasnoyarsk, Russia Jenya comes equipped with a lifetime of hockey knowledge provided to him by his time spent in Europe and Canada. Jenya is known for his unique style of Skill Development that has helped many young players advance to the highest levels of our game. His playing career started in Russia where he went through the Russian school of hockey and was named to Team Siberian Selects before he moved to Toronto in 1994. Jenya played Junior hockey in Canada and minor pro before turning to coaching at a young age. He brings our program a decade of experience in running elite hockey schools and coaching at the Junior “A” level. Jenya’s extensive experience with skill development, coaching and player promotion is an invaluable asset to our clients.
